- so i was just fired from bartending at a concert venue in philly, the reason given was that i was male and now they only wanted female bartenders, after over 6 months that was it. i asked did i do anything wrong? answer... Can everyone in the state of fucking Pennsylvania please tell your foreign friends and bad tippers that servers and bartenders make $2.83 an hour, and when they want to be generous and pick up a $95 tab, not to "make it $100."

(2) - Sometimes I over-pour one person out of group. I make sure that all night that person gets about twice as much more booze than the other people in their group. I even go as far as to under-pour their friends. I love watching the one person deteriorate increasingly fast as their friends are just fine. America doesn\'t build stuff anymore, it\'s a leisure culture and the wage slaves who make it happen can\'t afford it for themselves. You become a fucking servant! Can\'t raise a family on this. Hard enough to get a loan and buy a house.

One of my long time regulars tentatively asked me on a date tonight.
It's pouring, and he was one of two people in the bar.
I had to deny him. I told him i was seeing someone, but it was a lie. I know he's not coming back, he was a really nice guy. Why did he have to jump the fence... Couldn't we just keep the bartender-regular/friend relationship without getting weird???
This is easily the worst part about bartending. losing regulars to stupid shit. This guy WAS my friend. a friend who wanted to fuck me, and now that he knows he can't, he'll be either too embarrassed or too pissed to come back.
